New York Jets new head coach Robert Saleh began his media tour introducing himself to the Jets fans on New York City radio last week. While appearing on the "Boomer and Gio Show" Saleh said a few things that should give fans hope as well as possibly give clues as to what players I expect the Jets to target in Free Agency.

While explaining why he liked the system Saleh said "You know just look at the history with this system." Saleh then goes on to list the quarterbacks that are thriving in the offensive system he and new Offensive Coordinator Mike LaFleur plan on running. Among those players listed were Matt Ryan, Brian Hoyer, Jimmy Garappolo, and Ryan Tannehill. The last name is the one that caught my ear the most. Tannehill is not only a guy that's thrived in Tennessee he's also a QB that struggled under Adam Gase prior to being a playoff QB in this system. Could Sam Darnold follow suit?

When you hear the glowing review the former defensive coordinator gives this offensive system it makes me think players well versed in it will be a priority for the Jets. Luckily there are a few players that fit those requirements perfectly.

Lazard just spent the last two years catching passes from Aaron Rodgers in Matt LaFleur's' version of this offense. At 25 years-old this 6'5 225-pound receiver could be ready to take the next step and become a cost-effective standout that already knows what Mike LaFleur will be looking for.

Here's another young player that's been in the system that Saleh loves. Carson is a 26-years-old 5'11 222-pound battering ram with speed. Even though Carson has had some injuries he would be the perfect complement to La'Michal Perine.

Knowledge of the system and youth are key to me while I look for players I expect the Jets to target. Everett is more of a second tight end that could help get Chris Herndon to the next level while helping the Jets offense as a blocker and receiver.

WILL FULLER V WR

For me, Fuller's a no-brainer, not because of the systems or relationships to the Jets coaching staff. There are two reasons to love the idea of adding Fuller to the Jets roster. One he'd be the most talented receiver on the Jets and it wouldn't be close and tow his relationship with current Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. If reports are true that Watson wants to be traded to either the Dolphins or the Jets then adding Fuller is a win-win.
