How Concerning Was The New York Jets Loss On Sunday?
The New York Jets really struggled in a brutal loss on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium vs the Denver Broncos. The Broncos have a rookie quarterback in Bo Nix who has not been great so far. I understand that the weather was poor but that is an excuse you can't have five false start penalties and expect to win. Now you have both head coach Robert Saleh and quarterback Aaron Rodgers blaming each other about cadences and you still have nothing sorted out with defensive edge rusher Haasan Reddick. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
The New York Jets lost on Sunday because of head coach Robert Saleh. The Jets were penalized 13 times and were unprepared to play against the Denver Broncos. The Jets should not be losing to Denver not with Aaron Rodger's at quarterback and all the playmakers he has around him. The play calling at the goal line was atrocious and that's on the coaching staff. The Jets had nine days to prepare for Denver and they had nothing to show for it. It's a long season but Sunday's performance was a head scratcher.
The Jets now have a very good Minnesota Vikings team coming up in London on Sunday morning. It would be a really good statement win and a huge bounce back from losing a game where they were favored by a touchdown. The Jets will be fine but they need to fix some things internally and fast.
