Childhood Icon Gives Meaningful Speech at Upstate NY College Graduation [WATCH]
It'd be pretty difficult to quantify just how many childhoods were made better because of the work of Steve Burns.
Burns, an actor and musician from Pennsylvania, played the role of "Steve" on the hit kids television series, Blue's Clues.
Here's a clip of the show's intro, in case you need a refresher:
Burns was the lone human featured on the show, and lived in a completely animated world. Each episode, he and his dog, Blue, would find clues (hence the show's name) that would help them solve riddles or puzzles.
The show aired on Nickelodeon, and Burns played the part of Steve from 1996 through 2002.
Since leaving the show, Burns has embarked on a career both in front of, and behind, the camera. He has also garnered a cult following on TikTok and other social media platforms, where he posts kind-hearted videos like this:

It's a pretty cool thing that he does. An entire generation of kids, who took comfort in watching him on television as children, can now take comfort in interacting with him on social media.
Burns, who now resides in the area of New York near the Catskills, was invited to serve as the commencement speaker at The State University of New York at Delhi's graduation ceremony.
Here was his speech:

As one who knows his work would expect, Burns delivered a heartfelt, meaningful message to the student body, all of whom would've been growing up while he was on Nickelodeon.
What a wonderful "full-circle" moment that must've been for some of the students in the graduating class at SUNY Delhi.
