Anyone who has been following the basketball-rich scene in upstate New York for a legitimate amount of time knows the name Talor Battle. Anyone who follows Big10 hoops certainly knows this name as well. While in high school at Bishop Maginn, Battle was a first team all New York State player and lead the Golden Griffins to a Section 2 championship, solidifying his 518 legacy. From there Battle went to Penn State where he not only lead the Nittany Lions to an NIT Championship in 2009, the NCAA tournament in 2011, but he became the first player in Big10 history to amass 2,000 points/500rebounds/500assists! Battle also graduated Penn State's all time leading scorer and the 10th best scorer in the history of the conference (stop and think about that). My former Empire State Games teammate stopped by and joined us on Big Board Sports to talk about his career, who he would choose as his top-5 players from the 518, comparisons with Jimmer Fredette, and more.
