After Mississippi State's loss in the Iron Bowl to Ole Miss, we knew there was room for a new team in the College Football playoff rankings, and on Tuesday night, the committee made its choice.

TCU is the new No. 3 team in the country, jumping Florida State, who fell to No. 4. After topping Auburn in the Iron Bowl on Saturday, Alabama remained No. 1, while Oregon holds firm at No. 2.
