In an historic evening in college basketball last night, three of the top four teams in the country lost in the same five hour time period. The top ranked and defending national champion Villanova Wildcats lost to Marquette 74-72. The Wildcats had a seventeen point lead in the second half but the Warriors from Marquette fought back to grab the upset win. The second ranked Kansas Wildcats lost on the road to West Virginia 85-69. The eighteenth ranked Mountaineers were led by the efforts of Esa Ahman who poured in twenty seven points and grabbed five rebounds. The fourth ranked Kentucky Wildcats also lost on the road to the Tennessee Volunteers 82-20. Robert Hubbs III led the Volunteers with twenty five points and seven rebounds. Kentucky and Kansas's losses mark the first time both blue blood college basketball programs lost on the same day since March 1, 2014. The lone top four team that did not lose this week was the still undefeated Gonzaga Bulldogs of the WCC. Do you believe Gonzaga is the best team in college basketball? If not, who do you believe is?
