After a year that saw UAlbany win its third consecutive America East title and hang tough with Oklahoma in the NCAA tournament, the Great Danes continue to get exposure on the national stage.

While the full schedule for next season has not been released yet, it has been confirmed by the Times Union that UAlbany will open at Kentucky on Nov. 13.

This is a good thing for the Danes, even if they'll go in as heavy underdogs. The chance to play the best teams in the country in a non-conference setting will help UAlbany prepare for another potential tournament game.

The Danes figure to be very good within the America East again next season, returning nearly their entire roster. Sam Rowley is the only senior set to graduate.

The Danes went 24-9 this past season and will return team leader Peter Hooley, dynamic point guard and scorer Evan Singletary, as well as Ray Sanders, Dallas Ennema, Richard Peters and Greig Stire. They'll also welcome in freshman Joe Cremo, the two-time NYS Class A Player of the Year.
