UAlbany Great Danes Lacrosse No Longer #1 Team In Country
Most lacrosse fans believed the UAlbany Great Danes men's program would not lose a game during their conference play. That notion was proven incorrect this past weekend as the team was upset by UMBC on the road 11-7. The victory was just the third for the Terriers this season, while the loss for UAlbany marked their first defeat in 2018. The loss also bumped the Great Danes out of spot in the country. Of the thirty potential first place votes, Maryland received twenty five of those votes, thrusting them to the overall number one position. UAlbany fell just one spot to number two. Maryalnd leaped over the Great Danes despite the team holding a victory over the Terrapins in College Park earlier this season 11-10. Should UAlbany have remained the number one team in the country? Is Albany's ranking actually too high after suffering the loss? Below is the entire Top 25 from this week. Let us know your thoughts below.
