How Can Scott Marr And UAlbany Lacrosse Bounce Back Next Year?
It was most definitely a brutal and rough way to end the season for the UAlbany Men's Lacrosse team. They lost Saturday afternoon 12-11 in double overtime to a very good Bryant team. It is especially tough for UAlbany because they had the lead with under one minute to go in regulation. Bryant scored the tying goal with only 14 seconds remaining and went on to ultimately win and advance to the NCAA Tournament. UAlbany committed a costly turnover late in the game that resulted in Bryant's game winning goal. Goalie Tommy Heller was huge in the America East Tournament as he had 19 saves in the Great Danes upset win over top seeded Vermont and Silas Richmond was massive all season long with goal scoring for them.
MJ and I wrapped our our annual Monday segment with head coach Scott Marr earlier this morning right here on Big Board Sports. Coach Marr has been great all season with us recapping every game and is a great friend of mine and to the show for many years. He is extremely proud of his team and obviously very disappointed in the heart breaking loss. Below is our full conversation with him.
It is now onto next season for Coach Marr and men's lacrosse team and it was very nice to see them back and competing again in the America East Conference. The culture and the winning are back and I think next year this team could be very dangerous. UAlbany is always a good team as long as Scott Marr is head coach there.
