We are just over a month away from the first games of the college basketball season. This year, the University at Albany will look for its fourth straight America East Championship and on Monday, the Danes announced their captains for the 2015-16 season.

Peter Hooley has been the star of the Danes for the last few years. He's got 1,000 points in his career. He scored 13.7 points per game a year ago and hit the famous shot against Stony Brook in the America East title game to send the Danes back to the NCAA tournament.

Ray Sanders was the guy who took the shot that missed and kicked out to Hooley so he could hit the game-winner. He's quick and athletic -- and plays stout defense. Athletically, he's one of the few Danes who wasn't overmatched against Oklahoma in last year's NCAA tournament - and he kicked his offensive game into high gear during the second half of last year.

Reece Williams is one of the most universally-liked players in the Danes program. He hasn't played much, but there's something to be said for being a great teammate.
