Union Headed to Frozen Four
Union College advanced to the Frozen Four for the second time in three seasons on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Providence College.
The East Regional champions will play Boston College on April 10 in Philadelphia.
Boston College has won five national championships. Union is now 30-6-4 on the season. The Dutchmen are unbeaten in their last 14 games.
After the win over Providence, four Union players were named to the East Regional all-tournament team. Max Novak was named the regionals’ Most Outstanding Player.
The Dutchmen beat the University of Vermont on Friday in the regional semifinal.
