Wednesday's Section II Scoreboard

Another great night of Sectional action last night, I was at Joe Bruno Stadium for the Class B/BB baseball finals. Class D and C finals take place tonight. Here’s the Section II scoreboard.

Baseball:

Class B: Fonda 3, Voorhesville 2

Great game and great pitching matchup that came down to the last pitch. With a 3-2 count, tie game, and the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, Fonda walked off with a win on a game-winning walk. They’ll play Schalmont on Saturday at St. Rose in B/BB final.

Class BB: Schalmont 6, Johnstown 1

The game was close for a while. Schalmont actually held a 1-0 lead without having a hit for the first half of the game, but the Sabres broke it open in the bottom of the sixth. They’ll play Fonda on Saturday.
