The UAlbany football team has a big game coming up at home at Casey Stadium on Saturday afternoon when they host and take on the Elon Phoenix.  Elon comes in 0-2 in the CAA Conference while UAlbany is 1-1.  This will be the Great Danes second home game and I expect an awesome and big crowd.  There were over 8,000 fans vs Maine where UAlbany suffered a heartbreaking loss.  They have been improving each week and are coming off of a huge win on the road at Bryant last Saturday.  Quarterback Myles Burkett has had himself a very nice season so far and is continuing to progress.

MJ and I had the head coach of the Great Danes Greg Gattuso on with us in studio earlier today right here on Big Board Sports on 104.5 The Team ESPN Radio.  We started by reminiscing about the glory days of Penn State and his national championship year and then we actually talked about the game.  Below is our full interview with him enjoy.

I expect a UAlbany win on Saturday for their homecoming game which always produces a good crowd.  The defense has been outstanding recently and UAlbany is still in defense of their CAA Conference Championship from 2023.  They will need a complete game however and can't commit too many penalties or turn the ball over.  Coach also wants to still see them tackle better and create some turnovers of their own here moving forward.  I am so excited to see this home crowd on Saturday and can't wait for kickoff at 3:30.
