This will truly be an epic weekend for sports in the Capital Region.  There are a plethora of options to choose from as to where fans want to go.  First of all, the weather looks beautiful as each day will be around 75 degrees and sunny.  Fans can go see the opening games of the Premier Lacrosse League at UAlbany on both Saturday and Sunday.  The Albany Empire host the Carolina Cobras on Saturday night at the MVP Arena.  Oh and by the way, Kumar Rocker will make his highly anticipated debut for the Tri City Valleycats on Saturday night.  I think it might be the Valleycats just over the lacrosse that draws the biggest crowd this weekend.  Here is my quick take on this from the Times Union:

Capital Region Sports fans are spoiled with great choices on Saturday. Fans can head to Casey Stadium at UAlbany for the start of the Premier Lacrosse League which usually draws big crowds. The Albany Empire host Carolina in a first place showdown at the MVP Arena, where it will be a big disappointment if at least 5,000 fans don’t show up. But the ValleyCats could attract the most interest when Kumar Rocker makes his Cats debut against Trois-Rivieres at Joe Bruno Stadium. There won’t be that many chances to see the former number one pick of the New York Mets. And throw in State Regional playoffs in High School Baseball, Softball and Lacrosse, and it shapes up as a great weekend for local sports fans.

MJ and I discussed this busy and awesome local weekend earlier this morning right here on Big Board Sports.  Here is our conversation below.

I hope everyone can get out and see at least one of these games or events this weekend as it will be a very fun time I can guarantee you that.

Ten More New York Laws That are Weird, But Somehow Still Exist

Some laws make sense, and others do not. New York has its share of laws that make sense, but a few others, that are out-of-touch, and just plain weird.
