Forbes has released their list of "The World's Highest Paid Athletes" and you might be shocked who's the highest paid New York Athlete. The list is dominated by soccer and NBA stars but there are certainly plenty of MLB and NFL stars on the list. I was a little surprised how low the New York athletes were on the list and more shocked when I saw the man they listed highest.

Forbes added up Salary/Winnings with endorsements to get a total. On a list of the 100 highest paid athletes in the would there are four New York stars. Working our way up the first on the list is # 93 Saquan Barkley. The Giants' running back is listed at $25.8 Million. Next is Jets' line backer CJ Mosely, who thanks to his new contract is bringing home $26.9 million making him 82nd. Yankees' outfielder Giancarlo Stanton signed a massive deal with the Miami Marlins then was traded to New York. Stanton's $27.4 million makes him 77th on Forbes' list. Now here's the highest paid NY athlete on Forbes' Highest paid athlete's in the World list...Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes! Cespedes is 62nd on the list and is listed as making $29.4 million a year. Honorable mention goes out to Odell Beckham Jr who even though he's on the Browns, his contract he signed with the Giants makes him 85 the on the list at $26.5 million.
