The World Series will finally begin on Friday night in Los Angeles at Dodger Stadium for Game One.  It will Be Gerrit Cole on the mound for the Yankees and their ace should have a great start.  It is the dream matchup with so many intriguing storylines and it is exactly the matchup that Major League Baseball wanted.  You have the Most Valuable Player of the National League in Shohei Ohtani and the Most Valuable Player in the American League in Aaron Judge.  I think any fan of baseball would and should want this series going seven games.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

World Series are won with pitching and the New York Yankees have better started pitching than the Los Angeles Dodgers. And the Yankees bullpen has been a big-time strength down the stretch of the regular season, and it's carried over into the postseason. The Los Angeles Dodgers have an incredible offense but. in the playoffs, pitching wins out and the Yankees overall have better pitching. This will be a classic World Series that the Yankees will win in seven games.

I have the Yankees winning in seven games.  As some Yankee fans including MJ think I am a hater, but I am not, I'm a realist.  Both teams matchup very evenly on paper but I do give the edge to the Yankees when all is said and done.  I think their pitching overall is slightly better and pitching wins in October.  The Yankees will win their first World Series in fifteen years.
