Saturday will be the annual Big Purple Growl game for the UAlbany men's basketball team as they will host Binghamton at 7 p.m. at the Broadview Center.  It should be a nice big crowd and an awesome turnout with students back for classes for the winter.  Head coach Dwayne Killings is excited about it and they already beat Binghamton once this year so why not twice.  If the Great Danes win than they will be an even 4-4 overall in the America East Conference.  The first matchup was a 70-65 win at Binghamton and a win the Great Danes desperately needed.  The conference is wide open and UAlbany still has their goals and eyes set on hosting a quarterfinal playoff game and finishing the regular season as a top four team.

MJ and I had on Dwayne Killings this past Wednesday as we have all season long.  He is excited about the game and talked about how having the week off is very important for his team.  Below is our full interview with him enjoy.

I expect a big crowd and a very good game.  These two schools have been rivals for years and the Bearcats will come in with a good game plan.  The Danes have been inconsistent at home and have lost their last few but the bigger the crowd, the more I like their chances.  After Binghamton, they have to go through the gauntlet if you will, against the top teams in the conference.  UAlbany has the potential and chance to rise up the rankings.
