It wouldn't be a big tournament without some big upsets and there were a few yesterday.  Serena and Venus Williams were both eliminated along with women's number seed.

Not a good day for some of the top seeds in women's tennis.  We saw both of the Williams sisters and the number one overall seed, Caroline Wozniakci, exit Wimbledon after the fourth round.  The loss is painful all around.

Wozniacki was in search of her first grand slam title.  She has yet to reach the quarter finals at Wimbledon in her career.  Wozniacki was looking good after her first set, but things got a bit rocky after that.  She ends up losing to Dominika Cibulkova 1-6, 7-6,7-5.

I don't really care what people think or say or do. I cannot really do anything now. I did my best and it wasn't good enough.

-Caroline Wozniacki

The Williams sisters all saw an early exit as well.  A disappointing run for defending champion Serena and 5 time champion Venus.  It's not all that often that these two lose on the same day.  The last time that both of them were eliminated on the same day was the French Open in 2008.

Serena went down to Marion Bartoli 6-3,7-6.  Venus was eliminated by Tsvetana Pirnkova 6-2,6-3.  Serena said that she was satisfied getting as far as she did after taking such a long time off.  Venus also seemed off her game yesterday with 16 unforced errors.
