Will Tommy Kahnle Win A World Series With The Yankees?
The New York Yankees are on the brink of the 2024 World Series and it would be their first trip to the Fall Classic in fifteen years. They are clearly the better team over the Cleveland Guardians and could honestly sweep them here in the ALCS. Arguably the biggest strength of the Yankees throughout the postseason has been the bullpen. Led by Luke Weaver their new closer and Clay Holmes actually has been pitching very well too. But another consistent reliever has been local product Tommy Kahnle from shaker high school and Latham New York. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
Shaker high school grad Tommy Kahnle is a big reason why the Yankees bullpen has been nearly flawless in the postseason. Kahnle has not given up a run in 4 1/3 innings and ever since manager Aaron Boone moved Clay Holmes away from the closer role the Yankees bullpen has been a strength of the team. When Kahnle's change up is working he's very difficult to hit and he's had the change up working all season long. The Yankee bullpen has made a complete turnaround from the regular season and if they win the World Series the bullpen will be the difference maker.

The Yankees will be in the World Series and Tommy Kahnle will be a major part as he has been with the Yankees for not one but two serious deep runs in both 2017 and 2019. The Capital Region is and will be rooting for him throughout the rest of the postseason.
