Bolstered by some new (old) blood, this in the form of New Jersey Devil Stephen Gionta, the Albany Devils accomplished something they hadn't all season, winning their second straight game by defeating the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 3-1 in front of 3,000 fans Saturday at the Times Union Center...

In a wild game that went back and forth the Albany Devils pushed back and won a road game against their nearest rival the Adirondack Phantoms 3-2 Saturday night. Keith Kinkaid whose solid work has been lost due to the team's scoring problems was terrific, stopping 44 of 46 attempts by the Phantoms in leading the Devils to victory...

Jeff Frazee did all he could to get his Devils a needed win. However once again the offense let down Albany and the Devils lose to the St. John's IceCaps 1-0 at home Friday night. St Johns goalie Eddie Pasquale did Frazee one better, pitching a shutout and stopping 24 shots...

Before Fridays Contest against rival Adirondak the Devils were win less on home ice going 0-3. Then Friday came and the losing skid went, thanks to a 5-1 win over the Phantoms. This was the 1st time in 3 losses the Devils grabbed a 1st period lead and held it for the remainder of the game...

The Albany Devils announced today their 2012-13 promotional schedule. Throughout the year, fans will have the opportunity to collect memorabilia, participate in interactive events, support the Capital Region community and benefit from special offers.

Published reports in the July 17th edition of the Times Union are saying that the Albany Devils could be looking at perhaps relocating the franchise to Glens Falls if ticket sales don't pick up.

I would love to take credit for this original thought but it wasn't mine. The tempting thought comes from The Times Union Sports Writer Pete Iorizzo who opined about this very thought in his column in Fridays paper. As a huge NHL fan it caught my attention and is very interesting.

Throughout the AHL season, I had the pleasure and the privilege to conduct several interviews with Albany Devils head coach Rick Kowalsky. He was able to provide terrific perspective on all things hockey, both on and off the ice.

The Albany Devils and their fans will be celebrating the Armed Services on Saturday, April 14 during “Military Appreciation Night.” All active and inactive service members will receive free admission to the game by showing proper identification at the Times Union Center box office.

Union College senior forward Kelly Zajac has signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Albany Devils, the organization announced today. The announcement was made by Albany Devils General Manager Chris Lamoriello.

The Albany Devils and the Mohawk & Hudson Humane Society have partnered for the second annual “Pucks & Paws” night on Saturday, March 31 at Times Union Center. Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the 7 p.m. contest against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit the Humane Society.
