With the NCAA Tournament's 2nd round tipping off comes 32 games in two long days and nights. So far we have seen six double digit seeds advance to the round of 32.  One of the most shocking was #14 Mercer beating #3 Duke . Other double seeded victors include #11 Dayton, #10 Stanford, #12 ND State, #12 Harvard, and #11 Tennessee...

The NCAA is a joke. It's a corrupt, two-faced, charade of an organization.  Their thirst for profit is equaled only by their ruthless disregard for the "student-athletes" they claim to put first. And as such, the condemnation they receive so regularly is, more often than not, well deserved.

The picks are in!  After hours and days of research and analysis, of flip-flopping, and flip-flip-flopping, the bracket is locked. First of all, being a lifelong resident of the area and a supporter of the University of Albany basketball team, I would like to congratulate the Great Danes on their making it to the big dance! It was a hard fought year, and a great performance in their play in game in Dayton. I wish them luck against Florida.

UAlbany is on its way to play a high seed in the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row after a 71-64 win over Mount St. Mary's in Dayton, Ohio on Tuesday night. The Danes lost to second-seeded Duke in the tournament a season ago and had a more difficult route to a high seed this year...
