The Albany Empire have taken the Capital Region by storm. In just their second year in existence they pack the Times Union Center and have all their fans believing the Empire won't have #UnfinishedBusiness for long. A key reason for the success of the Empire is the all time Sack leader for Arena Football, Defensive End Joe Sykes. Sykes has 63 career sacks and looks like he might be better than ever.

Sykes credits the work he does with his fiance Brittany Burnham the founder of HIIT it with Brit for being in even better shape than he was last year. Sykes has gained 12 pounds of muscle in the off season and if his performance in week one is any example it'll be a long season for opposing QB's. You can "HIIT it like the Pros" and see the workout that got Joe here this Saturday morning. Click HERE for more details.

Life is certainly good for Sykes right now and adding an Arena league championship could make it even better. The Empire host the defending champion Washington Valor this Saturday at 7:30 pm at the Times Union Center. Last week Valor QB Arvell Nelson lead his team to 51 points in a loss to the Baltimore Brigade. Sykes and the Empire Defense will need to shut Nelson and the Valor offense down if the Empire are going to start the season 2-0.
