Albany’s Win Streak Will Go As Long As Marr’s Hair

The UAlbany Great Danes Lacrosse team just validated their number one ranking by beating the second ranked Maryland Terrapins 11 - 10 last Saturday at College Park. The Great Danes played most of the game trailing then finally went ahead for good, killed the clock and maintained their top ranking. Could there be a reason other than on field play behind Albany's success? I say yes!  Look no further than the flowing mane of Head Coach Scott Marr!

Look, you could easily say that 17 plus years of building the program and an amazing relationship with young talented players is what Marr and the Great Danes are top of the ranking but clearly this is a "Sampson situation." As long as Coach Marr continues to let his flowing locks get longer so will this season's win streak.

This may all seem like a joke but I think it's just the latest example of how Marr keeps things light and relates to his team. This is an easy team to cheer for. Alabny's next game is home this Saturday at 3pm.
