Scott Marr's UALBANY Lacrosse team has potentially it's biggest challenge of the season Thursday, when they face the Syracuse Orange in the Carrier Dome. The Great Danes are a true power in the world of college lacrosse and they'll get to prove it tomorrow against the Orange. Coach Marr explains why he and the Great Danes took this mid-week matchup and the future of UALBANY facing top teams in college lacrosse.

I LOVE the point that the Great Danes aren't a "Bad Loss" anymore. I'm the first one to tell people how good they are and even I fall back into the "Smallbany" mindset sometimes. The truth is University of Albany has been to the NCAA Tournament and has been highly ranked many times. They take on powerhouse schools like Yale and Maryland during their seasons both home and away. I'm glad head coach Scott Marr made that clear because it's something we here in the Capital Region should be proud of.
