With the Major League baseball draft less than a month away, the mock drafts are coming fast and furious. In the Capital Region, we are wondering where Shenendehowa star Ian Anderson will go.

We saw him at No. 18 to the Yankees last week and this week Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com pegged him at No. 17 to the Houston Astros.

From Mayo:

"The Astros could be looking at a number of high school arms in this stretch. Anderson's been a bit tough to scout with the Northeast weather and an illness that sidelined him, but he might have top 10 ability."

Anderson throws between 92 and 96 MPH and features a good curveball and a good changeup. He has a scholarship to Vanderbilt if he elects to not go pro.

It appears because of the weather and the injury that Anderson will fall past the No. 10 spot, but if he goes to the Astros, we may eventually get a chance to see him with the ValleyCats.
