Are The New York Yankees Starting To Find Their Groove?
It seems that the New York Yankees are playing good baseball at the right time of year. October is right around the corner and that is what really matters at the end of the day. The offense has been better overall and it has not just been Aaron Judge and Juan Soto leading the way. Judge has been unreal and could win the American League Triple Crown. The Baltimore Orioles are doing everything that they can to throw away the AL East to the Yankees. The Bronx Bombers have won three consecutive series and the major reason has been their bullpen improving overall. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
The New York Yankees bullpen is starting to come around at just the right time which gives them a big chance to make a deep run in the postseason. Luke Weaver is stepping up and taking some of the pressure off Clay Holmes who has struggled to close out games and that's an understatement. Shaker grad Tommy Kahnle has pitched at a high level all season and the Yankees are counting on him to deliver in the postseason.
The Yankees need to have everything come together in order to win. The starting pitching still concerns me even Gerrit Cole. It is time for the Yankees to finally get to and win a World Series because it has been fifteen years. If they keep this recent stretch up than they will be tough to beat in the 2024 MLB postseason.
