Siena's already thin backcourt for next season got even thinner.

Today, two players have decided to transfer and will not be back with the Saints for the 2011-12 season.

Guards Jonathan Breeden and Kyle Griffin recently submitted transfer paperwork to the Siena compliance office, and both have been granted conditional releases to pursue college basketball opportunities elsewhere.

Griffin intends to graduate from Siena, but still has one year of NCAA eligibility remaining, which he may elect to use.  He averaged two points and 9.2 minutes per game this past season for the Saints.

Breeden, a sophomore, told Head Coach Mitch Buonaguro that his decision was made for family reasons, and plans to seek out a school closer to home. Breeden averaged 4.5 points in 12.7 minutes per game in 2010-11.
