Can The New York Giants Finally Beat The Dallas Cowboys?
The New York Giants actually have a real chance to beat their bitter NFC East rival the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night. The Cowboys have won six straight against the Gmen and the Giants have not beaten Dak Prescott since his rookie season in 2016. For some reason he owns the Giants and they have a weak secondary to say the least. However the Cowboys are 1-2 and have the worst run defense in the entire NFL. There are many intriguing storylines and this games sure looks competitive for once on paper. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
The winning formula for the Giants on Thursday is to sack Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott something they haven't been accomplish in many years. Prescott leads the league in passing yards and given time will pick apart a suspect Giants secondary at MetLife Stadium. Giants have no chance to win if they don't sack Dak it's just that simple. Giants will be able to run the ball on the Cowboys defense but if they can't slow down the Dallas passing game the Giants will have a 1-3 record when the game is over.
I really don't know how this game will play out. Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers could be a big X factor. He has been a stud and finally Daniel Jones has a legit number one target to throw the ball to. I like the Giants in an upset over the Cowboys which would send shockwaves throughout the league.
