Capital Region Basketball Fans Get Ready For The New York Phoenix
Capital Region basketball fans get ready for the New York Phoenix. Owner Sam Clifford has a brand new team in The Basketball League who will compete against the Albany Patroons of course. Former Patroon Trevis Wyche will be the team's head coach. The season kicks off Friday February 28th and it will be awesome. The jerseys look great featuring a 104.5 The Team ESPN Radio logo too. The court at the Schenectady Armory looks epic too. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
The New York Phoenix professional basketball team is ready to make its highly anticipated debut at the Armory studios in Schenectady on February 28th. Schenectady has a rich basketball tradition over the many years starting with the great Pat Riley days at Linton high school and the list goes on and on. The venue is in a perfect location in downtown Schenectady and the city is rolling out the red carpet. Owners Sam and Rebecca Clifford have done a phenomenal job getting this up and running and if they put a winning product on the court Schenectady basketball fans will show up.

I encourage everyone to get to some games this year and I will be giving them plenty of love both radio and TV side. Sam Clifford is a great friend and we will enjoy our partnership throughout this season and beyond. MJ and I will do the play by play on Friday April 4th when the Phoenix host and take on the Patroons.
