A nice milestone the other day for a Capital Region native:

CBA graduate and St. John Fisher College basketball standout Chaz Lott became the 21st player in Cardinal history to score 1,000 career points.

Lott is a junior who is averaging 14.1 points per game for the 6-3 squad.

2014-15: Appeared in 27 games, including 24 starts … Dished out 166 assists (6.1 per game) to rank fifth all-time in the individual season record book … Registered five or more assists in 18 of 27 games played … Averaged 10.2 points per game, while shooting 53.3 percent from the floor, the team’s second-best mark  … Recorded a career-high 12 assists in Fisher’s Empire 8 Championship victory over Alfred … Named to the Empire 8 All-Conference First Team, D3hoops.com All-East Region Third Team, NABC East District Second Team.

Lott played four seasons at CBA, helping the Brothers to the state title in 2010.
