The New York Yankees and Left handed pitcher CC Sabathia agree to 1 year $8 million deal. This will be year 11 for Sabathia in New York with the Yankees and another chance to try and win it all one more time with the Bronx Bombers.

Last year the big lefty went 9 - 7 with a 3.65 ERA over 29 starts helping the Yankees on their way to 100 - 62 season. Sabathia lost out on $500,000 last season retaliating against the Tampa Bay Rays by hitting catcher Jesus Sucre in the leg after Yankees catcher Austin Romine was almost hit in the head. Sabathia ended up being two innings shy of the half million dollar bonus but now he'll make $8 million to join a current rotation of Luis Severino, Masahiro Tanaka and now CC. Yankees' GM Brian Cashman said he planned to bring Sabathia back and also wanted to bring back 36 year out Lefty J.A. Happ. Time will tell if both Left handed pitchers return to the Pinstripes.
