Freshman Nico Clareth highlighted a quartet of Saints in double-figures as the Siena men's basketball team topped Canisius on Thursday night at the Times Union Center.

Clareth's 22 points on 9-14 shooting paced the Saints offense. The win moves Siena to 17-9 overall and 10-5 in the MAAC. Siena is in third place in the league but has two meetings with second-place Iona coming up.

Javion Ogunyemi was not to be outdone, scoring 21 points in the win. He added five assists and was 9-12 from the field.

Brett Bisping did the work for Siena on the glass, racking up nine rebounds to go along with 15 points.

The glass was a big advantage for Siena as the Saints outrebounded the Griffs 40-29. They also had 20 assists compared to just nine.

Siena will travel to Iona on Saturday for the first of two meetings with the Gaels. The second meeting will be on Feb. 22 at the Times Union Center.

Iona eliminated Siena from the MAAC tournament a season ago.
