College Football Broadcasting Legend Beano Cook Dead at 81

Beano Cook, famous college football commentator, has passed away at age 81.

Cook, who got his start producing commentary at his alma mater, the University of Pittsburgh, was a regular contributor on various ESPN programs since 1986, making numerous appearances on shows such as The Herd.

He was one of the most memorable media members in the college football community thanks, in large part, to his high volume style of commentary and love of midwestern college football.

His passing was announced by the University of Pittsburgh earlier today.
