It is amazing and wild to think that Bill Belichick is now the head coach at the University of North Carolina.  After winning six Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and coaching in the National Football League for over three decades, he is now coaching in college football for the very first time.  I give him so much credit for doing this especially with how crazy the new collegiate athletic landscape has changed.  Between the revenue sharing and NIL deals, he will have to hire an excellent staff so he doesn't have to deal with that and can focus on coaching his team.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

Bill Belichick becoming the new head coach at North Carolina will in short order shift the power in College Football. Belichicks hiring at Chapel Hill immediately elevates their program to another level. The Tarheels will attract the best college football players in the country because they will want to play for a six-time Super Bowl winning coach who can help them get to the NFL. College football has become a business, and Belichick knows how to be a head coach and General Manager. No longer is North Carolina known as just a basketball school.

I believe this is a great move and a win win for all parties involved.  Bill Belichick will have North Carolina in the college football playoff contention here soon in a couple of years.  UNC deserves this success and every player should want to enter the transfer portal to play with him.
