The New York Jets opened up the 2018 season in a big way with a 48-17 victory over the Detriot Lions. Led by rookie quarterback Sam Darnold, the Jets set a new franchise record for most points scored in a road game. The forty seven points were the most since the team scored forty seven points nearly fifty years ago. The thirty plus point victory in a quarterback's first start had not happened in the league since 2001, when New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady accomplished the feat.

After last night's performance, do you believe the New York Jets could be a playoff team as soon as this season? Let us know below.
