David Ortiz To Appear At Saratoga Event

Boston Red Sox retired slugger David Ortiz will be appearing at a Saratoga even this fall. According to the Times Union Ortiz will be appearing at the Saratoga Wine and Food Festival on September 8th. Ortiz will headline events on September 8th at 7pm with meet and greet and photo signing for one hundred Fired Up! ticketholders. Then from 8:30 to 10 p.m. the event will showcase Big Papi’s Arias Wine & Cigar Bar experience for one hundred people in the Hall of Springs Jazz Bar, to benefit the David Ortiz Children’s Fund, a charity that funds pediatric services for children in New England and the Dominican Republic.The event's website lists this as a description of what to expect on that weekend.

Over the course of the weekend, patrons will indulge in a variety of premier wines, spirits and exhibitors from across the country, while enjoying mouthwatering cuisine from some of the finest restaurants in the Capital Region. It’s time to get up close and personal with expert chefs, wine connoisseurs, and luxury automobile experts for a great cause! The goal of the Festival is to help raise funds for the Saratoga Performing Art’s Center Children’s Education Program. This year’s weekend of events is guaranteed to be a weekend no food, wine and car lover can resist!
