As if the deflategate saga would ever end, the accused deflated football was auctioned off for $43,740 on Friday.  Auction house Lelands.com auctioned it off on behalf of Laura Nichols who was given the ball in the third quarter by Patriots wide reciever Brandon Lafell after he LaGarrette Blount scored a touchdown.

The ball was re-inflated prior to the second half so there was no way of telling which particular ball was the one under question, but this ball was one of the one's the Patriots had control over.

The sale comes nearly six months after the Patriots defeated the Indianapolis Colts 45-7 in the AFC Championship game.  The ball is expected to sell at a record number for a game used football once the sale is completed.
