"One of the funniest things --," said Melrose, to "Armen and Levack", on 104.5 The Team. "During the playoffs I’m here every day and till the games are over, sometimes till 2:30 in the morning. I have a cigar, sometimes in between games.

"They have three chairs that’s right by the football field. So I’m sitting there having a cigar and it’s about 1:30 in the morning and all of a sudden I see this gigantic guy trying to get in the cafeteria.

"This gigantic guy in basketball shorts and a basketball jersey is trying to get into the cafeteria and he’s trying every door and it’s getting funnier and funnier because he’s walking around. Finally, he got under a light, and it was Magic.

"It was 2:00 in the morning, I was having a cigar in Bristol, Connecticut waiting to do a hit for SportsCenter, and I’m seeing arguably the best basketball player of all-time not be able to get into the cafeteria. I said, ‘Hey Magic, what do you need?’ and he said, ‘Hey man, can you get me in? I need a drink!’”
