Well George Mason and Fordham have each made their hires for their men's basketball head coach openings.

Why should you in the Albany-area care? Because that means that Will Brown of the University at Albany won't be going to either of those places.

Brown still could leave if he gets a good opportunity, but he interviewed for both the Patriots and Rams' openings, so the fact that they are now filled should be a sigh of relief for Great Dane fans.

Brown led the Danes to a 15-1 America East record, America East championship, and third straight trip to the NCAA Tournament. He was also the America East Coach of the Year and was nominated for the mid-major coach of the year.

Brown just completed his 14th season at UAlbany and has the Danes in a position to be very good again in 2015-16. He returns all but one player off this year's team -- and also adds local star Joe Cremo to the mix.
