George Stephanopoulos Thinks Bill Russell Is Morgan Freeman [VIDEO]
Who can forget Bill Russell’s great work in films like ‘Seven’ and ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ among others? Wait, you mean that was Morgan Freeman?
ABC’s George Stephanopoulos made an embarrassing mistake on Monday during President Obama’s inauguration. He mistakenly said that NBA great Bill Russell was actor Morgan Freeman. Whoops. Of course, people (including me) are having a field day with this. It’s a simple mistake that is really funny to make light of.
This video made me instantly think of an old episode of ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.’ Will Smith once said to Carlton, “This ain’t gonna do nothin’ for the misperception that all brothas look the same.” Mr. Stephanopoulos’ unintentional mistake won’t either. He didn’t mean anything by it. No harm, no foul.
Morgan Freeman’s former squad will be in action this Sunday against the Miami Heat. Oops! Man, it’s an easy trap to fall into, George. Bill Russell’s former squad, the Boston Celtics, will be in action on Sunday as they host the Miami Heat on 104.5 The Team, ESPN Radio. Pregame coverage begins at Noon. The game tips at 1:00pm ET.
Brian Noe is the Brand Manager at 104.5 The Team, ESPN Radio in Albany, NY. Brian also hosts “The Noe Show” weekdays from 1-3 pm ET on WTMM.
