Giants Sign RB Shane Vereen

The New York Giants, have added depth to its already talented backfield with the signing of  unrestricted free agent Shane Vereen. Reports are saying it's a four-year deal that could be worth more than $16 million total. Vereen, has spent his entire four-year career with the

Patriots.

Vereen, is seen as one of the top tier dual action running backs in the league. Last season he made a huge impact, both as a runner (391 yards on 96 carries with two touchdowns), and as a receiver. In the past two seasons he has caught 99 receptions. He will look to be in competition as the primary back against Rashad Jennings, and Andre Williams.
