How About Former UAlbany Great Jared Verse In The NFL Playoffs?

It is so awesome to see Jared Verse succeeding with the Los Angeles Rams in the National Football League. He had a fumble return touchdown in their win in the NFC wild card game. He has potential and I think should be the NFC defensive rookie of the year and could even be NFC defensive player of the year. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

After watching Outside Linebacker Jared Verse on Monday, I could only think back to when I called his games at the University at Albany. I was in the booth doing the play by play when Verse was dominating the play for the Great Danes in the CAA Conference from 2019-2021. It didn't take long for anyone who was watching realize he could play at the next level and now look at where he's at in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams. Verse is a Pro Bowl selection who could also win NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. UAlbany Head Coach Greg Gattuso has an eye for talent, because Verse was lightly recruited coming out of high school in Berwick, PA.

It is still so hard to believe that Jared Verse was at UAlbany for a small period of time and was so dominant when he was there. Verse is in a great spot with the LA Rams and has such a bright future. The Rams are on to the NFC Divisional round where they stand a decent chance to upset the Eagles.
