Thursday night will be the biggest game of the season for the UAlbany men's basketball team.  They host and take on a red hot NJIT Highlander team at the Broadview Center at 7 p.m. in a game that will be pivotal in the America East conference standings.  NJIT is coming off of two huge upset wins at home over Vermont and UMass Lowell.  UAlbany has to win this game and I think they will in front of the home crowd.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

Big game for the UAlbany men's basketball team on Thursday when they host NJIT a team coming off back to backs wins over Vermont and UMass-Lowell the top two teams in the America East Conference. UAlbany is struggling because their 6'10 center Jonathan Beagle one of the best players in the league is still not back with the team. Without Beagle the Great Danes are getting clobbered on the boards and the points in the paint differential is lopsided not in their favor. UAlbany won at NJIT to start conference play back in early January but the two teams are going in opposite directions right now and the Great Danes need a win to stay away from last place in the America East Conference.

UAlbany has to make the conference tournament in early March as they were the only team to miss out last season.  We all hope too that Jonathan Beagle comes back soon as the fans and the team are really missing him right now.
