How Many Of Our Local Teams Are Left For High School States?
It is the best time of the year when our local baseball, softball, and spring sports teams all have won section titles and are making deep runs for state titles. Three of our baseball teams all have advanced along with five softball teams. We have had Shen baseball's head coach Greg Christodulu on with us and he loves his team and is confident that they can make a deep run here. Chatham baseball won a state title last year and are looking to repeat as back to back champions. Troy softball among the other teams have a very good chance at a state title. We love local sports here on Big Board Sports and I have loved covering every one of these teams this season. Below is my quick take on this from The Times Union:
Section II High School baseball and softball once again shining through at the State Semifinals coming up Saturday and Sunday in Binghamton and Long Island. It's impressive to have three baseball teams and five softball teams trying to make a run at winning State titles. It goes to show you the strength of Section II, and lacrosse and track & field will also make a big splash on the State scene too.

MJ and I were joined earlier this morning by Chatham baseball head coach Scott Steltz right here on Big Board Sports. He is a great guy and is confident his team can repeat as champions in 2023. Below is our full interview with him.
I wish all of our teams still alive and playing the best of luck as they try to win a state championship which is an incredible acconmplishment.
