How Much Pressure Will Be On Daniel Jones This Season?
The New York Giants will not make the playoffs in 2024. They have a pretty tough schedule top to bottom and don't have that many weapons overall on offense. The pressure is on quarterback Daniel Jones to deliver this season as he'll have some competition behind him including Drew Lock. I still am one of few people who has faith in Daniel Jones. I feel like organizationally they have set him up to fail. He has always had a bad offensive line and never has had luxury of having a number one wide receiver. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
Look at this way Giants fans quarterback Daniel Jones could have a good season this year and the Giants still won't make the playoffs. Jones enters year two of his $160 million deal with no guaranteed money after this season so it's important that Jones produces at a high level, but even if he does the Giants as a whole aren't very good. Giants probably won't win more than seven games next season and even that's being optimistic.
Drafting rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers was a smart pick and the obvious pick. He's a legit receiver who has explosive speed and great hands out of LSU. I hope for DJ's sake he has a great year because Giants fans and the coaching staff will move on if he doesn't. He is now considered a veteran in this league and the NFC East gets tougher and more competitive every season.
