Despite losing to the Knicks last night, I still think the Miami Heat will make it to the Eastern Conference Finals this season.

At the beginning of the season, Miami got off to a rough start and everyone was saying the "Big 3" would fail.  Then, the Heat got hot and won 21 of 22 games.  The bandwagon fans are once again ready to jump off a cliff after the Heat drop a home game to the Knicks.

Wait a minute there flapjack!

Miami has the 3 stars you need to win the NBA. It’s the NBA Theory of Sinkativity – you need at least 1 Hall of Famer and 2 All-Stars by his side.

LeBron took the horrid Cavaliers to the NBA Finals and led them to the best record in the East several times.  Look at the Cavs today.  Dwayne Wade knows how to win and has won NBA titles while Chris Bosh was a great player on a mediocre team.

Miami is 43-17 this season - they've got the 2nd best record in the Eastern Conference. They're only ½ games back of the 1st place Celtics.

The NBA season is a marathon not a sprint. Teams tend to really find their groove in the last month or so of the season.

Not only that, but don't be surprised if Pat Riley takes over as the head coach in the coming weeks.

The Eastern Conference is a 3-team race with Miami, Boston & Chicago - I don't think the rest of the teams in the East can compete with the Heat in a 7-game series.
