Is The Starting Pitching A Big Concern For The New York Mets?
As good as the New York Mets are going to be in the 2025 season, their starting pitching staff is a little concerning. Now Sean Manaea has an oblique injury which is always scary because that tends to linger. Manaea was basically the Mets ace last year. Now you have to turn your attention to the other starters which could include former New York Yankee closer Clay Holmes. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
The New York Mets with the addition of Juan Soto will have a great year, but there are some early concerns about their starting pitching. Sean Manaea has an oblique strain and might not be ready for the start of the season and Frankie Mantas has a high lat strain. Neither of which is important now but it's not how you want to start spring training with such high expectations. The Mets lineup is going to produce a lot of runs this season you're not winning the NL East without quality starting pitching . That's my biggest concern for the Mets and the early injuries don't help.

The offense led by Juan Soto, Pete Alonso, and Francisco Lindor will still be explosive. David Stearns and Steve Cohen have done such a good job overall. This Mets team will be a top three team in all of the MLB not just the National League. The season starts in one month and I can't wait until it gets here.
