Earlier this week MAAC commissioner Rich Ensor joined Levack and Goz live from the Times Union Center. According to reports the MAAC conference tournament may be leaving the Times Union Center for the 2020 season and beyond. Below is what Ensor told Levack and Goz

Levack: We here in the Capital Region, love the MAAC tournament, we show up in droves.......we hear reports that the MAAC is looking to move the tournament.

Ensor: Well. It's not necessarily a done deal. We are in a bidding process for 2020, 2021 and 2022. So we are through '19 here which will be our twentieth time in this building which is certainly been a great home but it's a business decision and every school wants to host it in its backyard.......

Goz: If Siena won like seven championships in a row, and there was an obvious home court advantage then they would say "Ok I get why they are moving it" but that just hasn't been the case. To us it seems like Why would they (the MAAC) want to move it if that has not been the case?

Ensor: Well you know, that's a question I raised a couple of times myself. You know it's politics. We have politics in our league no differently than any other group. And you can show them that Siena hasn't been exactly dominating it but then they will tell us about how they owned the crowd last year and they only got to the finals because of the crowd. I don't believe that, but that's what I deal with on a day to day basis. Ultimately it's going to be a decisions that is going to take six of the eleven votes to get done and we will see where it ends up.
