Saratoga Performing Arts Center Classic Rock Wish List for Summer 2027

Remember what it was like in the 1980's before the internet gave us constant contact with our favorite bands? Fans would wonder which bands would visit their hometown that summer, and sometimes put together a wish list. Why not have a wish list for 2027?

Here is a wish list of artists we hope will make their way to the Capital Region and perhaps play Albany Med Health System at SPAC in Saratoga Springs. This is a guess, a slightly educated guess, of which artists we think could hit SPAC in 2027.

Opening July of 1966, 2026 marks the 60th anniversary of SPAC. So many legendary artists have performed memorable concerts at the Capital Region's favorite amphitheater.

• Grateful Dead - June of 1985 with over 40,000 fans in attendance
• The Doors - September 1968
• The Who - August 1971 with over 33,000 in attendance
• Dave Matthews Band holds the record for most completely sold out SPAC shows

Certainly there are more shows to happen in the Capital Region in 2026 and early 2027. Skillet on September 30th at Proctor's Theatre in Schenectady, and Collective Soul on October 20th at the Palace Theatre in Albany are a couple to look forward to.

We also expect more concert announcements coming our way soon but this is a big leap ahead with our wish list of Classic Rock artists for SPAC 2027. These are just hopes, dreams, and guess work but here goes, in no particular order, the Top 5 Classic Rock artists we hope will play SPAC in 2027.
