The Chicago Bears have agreed to trade wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the New York Jets, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Marshall is already familiar with the Jets' first-year head coach, Todd Bowles, who was an assistant with the Dolphins while Marshall was there, and the Jets new scouting director is Rex Hogan who was with Bears last 12 years.

Marshall signed a 4-year contract last season, that will keep him with the Jets through 2017. The trade, which cannot become official until free agency opens Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, will also rely on Marshall passing a physical.
